Model European Parliament at the University of Trento
After a successful session in Brussels this October, we are pleased to announce the upcoming University Session of the Model European Parliament (MEP), organized by MEP Italia and MEP Europe . The session will be held from March 3rd to 7th, 2025, at the University of Trento, Italy.
It’s the third year we organize a University Session in Trento. However, this year we decided to open the event to MEP Alumni from all over Europe. The only requirements are that participants must be over 18 years old and enrolled in a university.
Event Overview
This five-day event aims to provide participants with a unique opportunity to engage in European-level decision-making processes:
- March 3-4: Committee Work – Delegates will draft resolutions on key European topics.
- March 6-7: Plenary Assembly – Resolutions will be debated and voted upon.
- March 8: Gala Evening – A formal celebration to conclude the session (tbc).
- Special Event: Lectio Magistralis – International experts and professors will deliver a keynote lecture to inspire participants and deepen their understanding of the session’s themes.
- As for the Brussels Session, participants will not only be part of thematic committees but also political groups, enabling a more realistic and complex simulation of the EP.
We kindly request your support in promoting this opportunity within your networks by sharing the event details with potential participants who meet the eligibility criteria.
Participation is completely free, with only a refundable deposit of €50. Participants are therefore responsible for their own transportation and accommodation, but the organizing team will provide assistance in identifying the most suitable options.
Registration closes on December 10th, 2024, at 11:59 PM. Seats will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis or randomly if demand exceeds capacity.
